"How We Got Away With It" Film Soundtrack
"Under My Wheels," written and performed by Bilchik, to be featured in Jon Lindstrom's 2013 film, "How We Got Away With It."
2012 Rock 'n' Roll Marathon
With the help of guitarist Matt Rowland, drummer R Scott Bryan, and harmonica player Bill Edwards, The Kevin Bilchik Band successfully rocked 20,000 plus participants in the 2nd Annual Rock 'N' Roll Marathon in downtown St. Louis, MO. What a blast we had playing to the continual cheers and support of all the runners, walkers, and athletes in wheelchairs, as they streamed by us for over an hour. Definitely one of my favorite shows of the year!
The Not So Early Years
My new compilation CD "The Not So Early Years" is now available! I hand picked these songs to highlight the best of my three CDs, and to give fans an option to hear all my best music from 2006 - 2011. If you like the full band studio recordings from my first CD, or the no frills acoustic tracks from my solo recordings, you'll find an interesting mix of all my styles. Available for download at my music store, iTunes, or pick up a disc at a live show this summer!
USAA Garage Band Playoff
Thanks to everyone who helped vote for my song in the Garage Band contest! It was an honor to be chosen as one of the top 24 finalists in USAA's nationwide competition. Although I did not advance to the next round, I cannot express enough how much I appreciate all your time and effort clicking that mouse and keyboard. Seriously, you know who you are, you all rock! Come on out to a show, and remind me that you voted, and I'll be sure to give you a free KB T-Shirt. It's soft, stylish, and you deserve it!
In Celebration of the Song - Sheldon Concert Hall
No doubt one of the most enjoyable nights I've spent on stage, "In Celebration of the Song," at The Sheldon Concert Hall, clearly re-affirmed why I play music, and why all the ups and downs in the music "biz" are worth it. Sharing the stage with Javier Mendoza, Amy Petty, and R Scott Bryan, in a songwriters in the round style event, was just incredible. Not only did we have a wonderful, captive audience, but I'm positive I've never played a better sounding room. Thanks to all those that made it possible! Check out my video page to see some clips.
